Your position has been consistent, but so has mine and I didn't think there was any reason to not play Griffin then or now. It's perfectly okay to play someone at less than 100%. It is in fact, impossible to field a team if you aren't willing to do that.
I think what people are saying is that not playing Griffin before was defensible (I don't know if I agree), but not playing him now is just petty.
