Yeah, I don't really understand why more people don't get this. There are a finite number of live game reps a young NFL player gets and all of them are valuable, even the bad ones.
Right now we are averaging 69 offensive plays per game. That's 207 more snaps of live action that Griffin isn't getting. That's 207 times seeing a live defense, seeing a blitzer, reacting to a coverage, reading a defense, etc that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else. By opening day next year, Griffin will be 8 games (4 regular season/4 preseason) games behind his 2012 rookie peers.
No matter how you try to look at it, this isn't a good thing for his long term development. This is a final F-U from Shanahan to Griffin, Snyder and Redskins fans. How people aren't getting that is pretty baffling to me.
