Agreed, aside from the coaching situation, this should be the #1 priority. He seems like he 'gets it' now and is making an impact on games the way he was expected to. I'm not a big fan of franchising players because I think it causes more issues than it usually solves but we cannot let him out of DC this offseason.
This also would be a chance organizationally to prove that they value their own players as much as the shiny new objects from other teams in free agency.
