I personally think moving it back or making it more difficult in some other way actually changes the game MORE than just formally making TDs worth 7 and integrating the +1/-1 idea. So in some ways I am against drastic changes.

I agree. The +1/-1 idea really doesn't change the game apart from removing boring and useless plays.
