That said, neither one of those guys showed me last year that they had the stuff to start this year. Yes, Thomas was injured, but he did not wow in his brief stint.
We can't just cross our fingers and pray regarding Thomas and Rambo. We need to bring in a vet SS.

Yeah, I mean I certainly wouldnt be opposed to bringing in a SS vet on a small deal to compete. To me the biggest need is a solid, vet FS on a multi year deal. If you bring in a vet SS too, I think you hedge it against better young guys suited to play SS (Thomas and Rambo(imo)) and the value of Reed. So if you can bring in a better player than Reed and at a decent value on a two year deal, I wouldnt be pissed.
