It really looks to me like the Italian judges in this case let Knox go, just so after she was outside the country they could "find" her guilty again to save face domestically, without making the US mad.

It's disgraceful that Knox and Sollecito served any time at all, and that Sollecito figuratively and literally still isn't "out of the woods".
