Wasn't Reed Doughty the Captain of our Special Teams? He was definitely one of the few ST players who was adequate. The ST's
killed us last year. It was obvious that Mike Shanahan paid little attention to that part of game when he finalized his roster. That can't happen again.
My point is, if I had anything to do with selecting players for the final roster, any reserve safety would have to be good on ST's to beat out Reed Doughty.
We need to get to the point where players who aren't starters make the team based on their ability to play ST - not as a tie-breaker but as a requirement of the job.
