The Panthers showed that you don't need to have a secondary like the Seahawks to have a dominant defense, your front seven dominates and your back four will be just fine, so maybe that is what Washington is thinking. If that was the case don't you think they would have pushed harder and tried to sign one of the big name DT or DE's by now? To me the top priority for them this year is cheap/affordable players. They know they're not going to transform this team in one offseason and they're trying to give Gruden a base to work off of, starting with the O Line. Makes sense, but no fun to watch as a fan in the off season.
