Ok. Ok. I used some hyperbole. Perhaps the sheer volume of content makes for a lot of repetitious analysis and I think his opinions are more or less vanilla, which is the name of the game to a certain extent when you're a beat reporter. I also practically fall asleep when reading about a third of his posts, but that's the consequence of following the NFL during the dead season. No one can hold a candle to the unreadable pablum that Jason Reid produces. He is the least edifying columnist in sports history.

I guess I just long for the days of old journalism when a column for a major newspaper was well written and insightful nine times out of ten. I would much rather read one article every couple weeks by someone like Boswell or the Kornheiser or Wilbon of old than ten daily items of bland schlock that is typically found on Bubba's.
