Maybe he'll let it fall apart like RFK did. Maybe he'll make PG county agree to pay for the demolition to use the land, and maybe they will because they will be looking at a large chunk of land doing nothing for them. They'll lose all the tax revenue generated by events at the stadium. There may even be an agreement to pardon the Redskins from paying property tax on the stadium, though I have no reason to think that's actually the case.
You're right that something will have to be done about the stadium. But I don't think it's that big of an obstacle. PG county will want to use the land, the Redskins will want to not have it on their asset sheet. Maybe it'll be part of the buyout of the lease. There's a lot of options.
One of which is they could use it for events, but I have a feeling if Snyder builds a new stadium he'll want to use that for all of his events not Fedex Field.
