I think DC is not a bad sports town, certainly not aweful imo. I think you need to look at the fan experience at the games. I think the Wiz games are pretty decent. Caps I've heard do a great job. Heard Georgetown b ball games best game experience in DC. I havent been to the Nats games, but my same friend said its a good times, but in a shit area.
I can speak to Fed Ex fairly well because Ive been there the most, but not in awhile. Never impressed when I went. Pretty average fan experience. It lacking imo and not worth the ticket or the headache

I had season tix for three years before giving them up. The headache of traffic and the inferior stadium set-up leave a lot to be desired. I don't think the fans are as fickle as people think, but when you are shelling out $200 + for a days experience there is nothing wrong with high expectations of what you will receive. Whenever I see away games the Skins are well represented so that leads me to believe it is the experience that is the problem not loyalty to the team. As for opposing fans? When you fly across country to watch the Seahawks play on Monday night you are expecting to over pay for the experience.
