I think DC is not a bad sports town, certainly not aweful imo. I think you need to look at the fan experience at the games. I think the Wiz games are pretty decent. Caps I've heard do a great job. Heard Georgetown b ball games best game experience in DC. I havent been to the Nats games, but my same friend said its a good times, but in a shit area.
I can speak to Fed Ex fairly well because Ive been there the most, but not in awhile. Never impressed when I went. Pretty average fan experience. It lacking imo and not worth the ticket or the headache

You can back peddle all you want about your excuse now being about work. You clearly came in here originally to post that you turned down tickets because the team is so terrible. I guess you didn't expect to get called out for your shtick. So you can now say you have a legitimate excuse and that you were just running on a stupid shtick, or admit you're a fair weather fan. Doesn't matter to me.
Verizon center is an amazing venue - the fans don't show up when the teams aren't doing too well.
Nats stadium is an incredible stadium and the surrounding area has jack to do with staying for a NL DS game going into extra innings.
The idea that the stadium has to be a nice place is a poor excuse this fan base has built into its rhetoric over the years. I have news for you - RFK was a fucking dump. The problem is the fan base. They don't want to go to the games, they don't want to stay for the games, but they want to demand a new stadium, bitch about the current stadium, etc etc etc.
Our fan base is just a bunch of fair weather fans. Literally and figuratively. It's sad.
These same fans then bitch about how other teams take over our venues (and Verizon center is not immune to this...) It's just laughable to watch.
