If there's a heavy blitz coming you're probably not going to have time to go deep. That's where you need a quick hitting play.
I'm not a huge fan of the WR screen but it serves it's purpose if properly executed, which we seem to have a problem with for some reason. I'd actually like to see more RB screens.

I have to agree with skinscane on this one, putting 8 men in the box doesn't mean their blitzing, what it does mean is they are ready for anything that happens around the line of scrimmage, even if they do blitz they have to many players in the box for screens and draws to be effective.
