The 90's were a long miserable decade with Casserly and Norv, but in the end they built a good team. Year 1 after Casserly's dismissal, playoffs and the Skins had accumulated 3 first round picks that draft from previous transactions.
Later, with the Texans #1 overall pick, Casserly had a choice between Reggie Bush, Vince Young, and Mario Williams. He was widely criticized for choosing Williams and fired sometime soon after that. Looks to me like he made the right call, there.
If he's not too far removed from the game, Casserly might be a good choice for GM. A young hungry guy who's currently in someone else's front office may be best.
