According to the International Business Times, Christie might have violated state ethics rules in accepting a plane ride and tickets from Jones to the game. Public officials have a "zero tolerance policy for acceptance of gifts," from people who have business with the politician. Christie spokesman Kevin Roberts told NJ.com that Jones picked up the tab for Christie and the governor's family, citing The Code of Conduct for the Governor in which the governor, "may accept gifts, favors, services, gratuities, meals, lodging or travel expenses from relatives or personal friends that are paid for with personal funds."

Hypocrite? I wonder whether it would be considered a crime; that code of conduct quote sounds dubious to me. Ask Bob McDonnell about that.
