ESPN 980 - WASHINGTON D.C.
Nice write up by Chris Russell summarizing the DC search. Honestly, at this point I feel that the Redskins have done their due diligence in their search. It's obvious that Fangio is their first choice, but he seems to be a hot commodity right now and he may not choose us.
At this point, I'm kinda okay with any of these candidates, except Morris.
I feel that Fangio is the popular/hot commodity choice, but I don't think it'll be the end of the world if he doesn't choose us. Still it would be nice to get him.
Phillips would be the quick but short term fix for the defense. Which is not a terrible thing, as they could use an above average D to help with the offense's woes. Personally, I feel he's the only one that could turn the defense around the fastest.
Barry/Pendergast seem like good solid "young" coaches with experience. I get the sense that the team wants someone to come and light a fire under these guys on defense. Which is not a terrible thing, given that we have young players in key areas.
