The McNabb trade? Not sure I buy that, but SS has said that often times Bruce would come up to somebody and say that "you can do what you like, but Mr. Snyder strongly feels that..." statements. Could it have happened? Probably so, but more likely a piss poor move that blew up in Mike's face. The one thing that makes me believe Mike more than Dan is Mike's history with trading. When you look back, he didn't give up a bunch of picks for players. It wasn't his thing, and for it all of a sudden to start at the Skins? I do believe Dan was so enamored with Griff that he and Bruce talked Mike into that disaster of a trade.

Yeah, it's often not Bruce that says that. It's other in the organization. Others who are team execs, but not really football execs. Would probably be easier to take if the (then) GM was saying that
As for the McNabb deal what I'd always heard and believe mentioned is that Bruce got wind of the opportunity to acquire McNabb (I think during the combines) approached both Snyder and Shanahan about it. Snyder loved the idea and Mike Shanahan did not. Kyle especially did not
