If you look at the metrics though you see that it wasn't that their defense was so improved, it was more that the ball was in the offense's hands due to the stellar offensive line paving the way for countless first downs and a rushing title for Murray. They kept the chains moving and kept the defense off the field more.
But I hear you, our defense should be better solely because of the defensive line. Knighton's impact will be big I think.
But all that does is make us more competitive. It takes a QB like Tony Romo paired with a great offensive line to get to 12-4. With our QB situation we should hope for 8-8 and be happy. Anything beyond that is a prayer answered.
