I just didn't see Scherff as head and shoulders above the other O Lineman and if he ends up having to move to guard (I know that's not the current plan) then this wasn't a very good pick.
We would have gone from the best player available for a deeply needed position to at best the 8th or 9th best and push safety/ilb back even further. All because a guys arm length is 3/4 inch short. We've needed to get a stud for the right side for 3-4 years. This is a step in the right direction
