Look, I'm not totally unhappy, but I think we're going to greatly regret passing on Williams.
EDIT: Also, if the Collins stuff isn't a big deal, you could have taken him in the 2nd or later in the first, if you could find a trade. I just didn't see Scherff as head and shoulders above the other O Lineman and if he ends up having to move to guard (I know that's not the current plan) then this wasn't a very good pick. |
We would have gone from the best player available for a deeply needed position to at best the 8th or 9th best and push safety/ilb back even further. All because a guys arm length is 3/4 inch short. We've needed to get a stud for the right side for 3-4 years. This is a step in the right direction
