OK, now you've annoyed me, since I am the one who posted the article. First, the title of this thread is "Redskins Offseason Things". That's "things", not "breaking news". Also, everybody doesn't read everything on the internet each day.
I noticed that there was some interest in what I posted - namely that Keim was
told by a source that the coaching staff believes Long "progressed well during the year," and will be a factor this season. Keim was apparently also told that Long will get every opportunity to unseat Chester. I'm pretty sure that Keim didn't just imagine this information.
The reason this has some significance to me is that it had had earlier been posted here that the previous OL coach may have shown favoritism towards Chester, which implied that Long didn't get a fair shot to win the job last season. So, I'm thinking that with a new OL coach and a new emphasis on power running, backed up by what Keim was told, the OL might be improved by inserting Long as the starter at RG. That's good (old) news, right?
