Can't believe there is really any doubt over Portis' intelligence. I can remember one of the first times i heard him open his mouth, i was severely concerned about his future post-NFL.
No secret that I didn't like him while he was here. His me first attitude, coupled with the fact that he didn't believe in working out, or training camp / pre-season. Washington didn't find out he was a cancer until too late in his career.
I'll give him his due though - it's amazing that for a guy who didn't really train or do any kind of preperation, he was able to show up on Sunday and do what he did for so long. Makes me wonder how great he could have been if he would have been fully committed to practice / training etc.. After he was cut by us, i'll admit I was actually said when the reports came in about him showing up for his Patriots workout at almost 300 lbs....
