We are here because of multiple violations of the npt by Iran , they have backout agreements and have tried to illegally obtain materials to militarize their nuclear program.

Also as the largest state sponser of terrorism they are violation of the Geneva convention, international law, etc.

I'm not trying to be an ahole, but it's pretty clear we are at this point because of a systematic attempt of Iran to possess and build nuclear weapons in violation of npt.
