Re: Hard knocks 2015 texans

I know O'Brien was highly sought after, but I just don't see it.

Yes, he went 9-7 last year, but here's who they beat:
Tennessee (twice) (2-14)
Jax (twice) (3-13)
Oak (3-13)
Us (4-12)
Cleveland (7-9)
Buffalo (9-7)
Baltimore (10-6)

So six of the wins came against teams with double digit losses and only one was against a team with double digit wins. Yes, a win is a win, but that looks like a pretty padded schedule to me.

And, yeah, Penn State was a tough gig, but, after year one he says ""I’m not a one-and-done guy. I made a commitment to these players at Penn State and that’s what I am going to do. I’m not gonna cut and run after one year, that’s for sure." Then, after year two, he's quits for the Texans job. So, one year = not living up to commitment, but two years = living up to your commitment. I mean, technically, he did what he said, but, in my mind anyway, he sure as hell did not live up to the spirit of his words or to his supposed "commitment to th[e] players at Penn State." I am really not a fan of these "I'm deeply committed to this franchise/college -- until I get a better offer" coaches.

He may end up living to his rep, but I am unimpressed to date.
