Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

Unfortunately, anyway you look at it the poor guy is doomed. First of all most of us I think can agree that Robert was indeed a systems QB out of Baylor. Systems QBs in Div IA are not really being prepped for the pros. Leinart from USC is the best example by far. Second of all, this kid was really overhyped. Yes he was an extremely good athlete, but the hype he received was out of this world. I thought the Carr, Harrington, then Leinart and Young hype jobs were over the top, but they don't hold a candle to what the media did to hype up RGIII. This kid didn't stand a chance of living up to it. Even his ROY season couldn't totally match the hype. This not coming close to living up to that hype is the source of the "hating". On top of the hype, and the fact he wasn't really groomed for the NFL, he got drafted by a mess of an organization, that didn't know anything about building a real contender. As we saw this past Thursday night, our line without Trent sucks, and let's be honest Trent gets banged up often. Even with Trent in there, it is an average line at best. In fact, Trent is the only true starter we have on our O line. The rest are nothing more than second stringers thrown out there due to FO incompetence of the last decade. This fact alone almost guarantees that Robert will only survive through week 5 only by the grace of the Almighty. If Suh and co come in real hungry he might not last past week 1. Couple the fact that the o line is horribly outclassed and the fact that RGIII really hasn't shown enough improvement thus far in the preseason, I don't think he is going to be upright past week 5. IF I was Scotty M, I also wouldn't draft a QB in 2016, but do some great scouting for more offensive linemen in the first two rounds. Any new rook we get is still going to get killed with the boobs we have on our line. Shore up the offensive line before we go for another young gun. We don't need to ruin more young QBs like Patrick and now Robert because of wrong schemes/bad offensive lines.
