In my opinion, every team has about half dozen or so players on either side of the ball that are products of good coaching and the "system", if you will. Jeremiah Trotter is a very good example of someone who is a Pro Bowler with the right team.
So while you say that we have average players, in that case who doesn't??

your right, alot of teams do have average players. Sean Taylor, Marcus Washingt, Griffin, Springs, are not average. Taylor, washington, griffin, and springs all should have gone to the probowl last year. What I am saying is Greg Williams, a great coach, has a pretty big ego. And I have a feeling that with all the LaVar issues in the offseason, he is saying I can make a great D without LaVar. i would hope this isn't the case. But I have heard that Williams does have to turn sideways to get his head through the doors at Redskins Park!
