This is a guess on my part: I think that Spaight is a person who made himself a draftable player through dedication to hard work and extensive film study. He is not particularly fast nor does he have an ideal ILB body, yet he always seemed to be in right place in his college film that I saw. He's a blue collar player and the Skins have got to love that. I'm thinking that his work ethic and potential made it hard for them to cut him.



I think he needs to know our defense inside and out, study NFL offenses, and build up his body to succeed in the NFL. Perhaps, he'll be ready next season.

Well your reasoning makes a lot more sense then being put on IR at beginning of yr for a concussion
