You can pick any sample size and make that argument. Like on our 3rd drive we did nothing but run.

The actual play call numbers from the 1st quarter were:

6 running calls and 5 passing calls.

The passing calls increased in the 2nd quarter making the total calls for the 1st half:

14 running plays and 16 passing plays.

That's including the 5th drive with the following 4 pass play calls:

2nd and 13
2nd and 17
3rd and 6
and 3rd and 9.

I realize that one of the 2nd down play calls could have been a run but the other three were probably gonna be passes.

Including our first drive of the 2nd half, the total play calls at that point in the game were:

17 running plays and 20 passing plays.

Considering what a down and distance debacle our 5th drive turned into, it wasn't a pass happy ratio at all.

Then we went down 25 to 6. Everything changed dramatically after that.

I understand the frustration, but the game plan wasn't for Kirk to pass the ball 50 times. We were down by 3 scores trying to play catch up.
