I've always considered it just a part of it and I don't regret the little football I played as a kid but those of you who went on to play college ball and a few that played a few years in the pros? I can't imagine how those types of hits add up over time. Once you've had a few serious concussions, you've made a little money, go home and enjoy it before you screw yourself up big time. These aren't broken bones, they don't just heal up like they never happened.

I have probably got a dozen concussions all from weird accidents, but never
suffered one boxing or playing football. Started at 18 months tipping a TV on a stand over, then at 7 hitting head on ceiling bouncing on the bed, bicycle crashes at 13 and 14, etc, etc. I am not sure they altered my life but the more I get the easier I get them and the longer the symptoms last. The last one I got a couple months ago accidentally banging my head standing up under the boom of an engine hoist. That caused memory issues for 6 weeks.
I could probably bump heads with my cat now and get one. The effects definitely are cumulative.
