For me Kirk has to earn another year with his play down the stretch this season. Is he a good back-up, stop gap starter or quality starter? For me its too early to say but he'll get the chance to prove himself.
He's certainly not a rookie in my book, I expect better then rookie level performance. The run game"handicap" is a dual sided coin imo Jay's penchant towards creating a passing to feature Kirk comes at the expense of run game commitment/success.
