I was a little rusty on the tuck rule so I did a little reading.

Its intention is to have the call be incomplete unless the QB is pulling the ball back into his body. The question is, how do you define that. It's not clear.

But in this case, it was. Plummer actually got his loose hand on the ball. He had completed his throwing motion, the ball was in his throwing hand and coming down by his mid section when it got close enough to his body for him to touch it with his off hand. He was tring to get both hands on it but it slipped through both hands and went backward. So it a fumble.

If its not that, then he actually throw the ball backward, again, making it a live ball.

This was indeed a terrible call. Even Denver reacted like it was a fumble.

So that's 2 points and I believe, we get the ball back with a ton of momentum.

3 pts on the penalty on the FG. 3 Pts on the blocked FG.
The Patton penalty didnt matter, we score a TD later anyway.

As mentioned we didnt have our starting corners and we are still sitting an all pro on the bench.

We are making progress every game. Remember how bad this offense was. We keep adding something every game. We should have won this one.
We are going to have a nice season.

I was pro Brunell as early as the 2nd preseason game. Now I don't think anyone could even imagine Ramsey in there. Seeing Brunell do all the thing a QB needs to do kind of points out how far Ramsey really need to progress before he could play. Honestly, at this point, I dont think he is a pro QB. You have to be able to move better then he does and make decissions quicker and better, plus he has no arc on his ball to make the passes that need to be made. We better hope Brunell stay healthy this year and next because it's going to be hard to replace him with someone how knows all that he knows and can do all that he does.

Ramsey is good for crossing patterns in the middle and outs, where your in the pocket and you have to gun it on a line. That's not going to get it done in the NFL, so I think he is done. He is a Jay Shreider (sp). Jay was a baseball palyer turned QB. Ramsey is a javelin thrower turned QB. There is a lot more to it then a strong arm. Now that you see Brunell doing so many things, the difference seems night and day between the two.
