no one is ever going to give JG $8m this year straight up. if someone was that dumb, he'd be signed to another team right now. the right of refusal is probably hurting his ability to get a contract elsewhere though, since no one wants to waste their time hammering out a deal on our behalf. anything reasonable is going to get matched, so why bother?
