Seems to me like you're doing an awful lot of reading into his comments. He was giving an introductory presser. I'm not going to hold it against the kid that he wasn't self reflectively critical in an introductory press conference. He's not there to render a mea culpa.
I'm sure there is fodder there for those willing to parse through Brock Os's intro presser.
