if you've ever worked in a business's marketing department, you'd know that telling the truth isn't important to most companies, as long as they can sell. Danny can sell out with 5-11 and 6-10 teams, with honest or dishonest coaches (whatever your opinion may be)... the quality of the product is mainly derived from wins and losses anyways, not whether the coaches decide to hold three hour pow-wows over every personnel decision they make.
and comparing anyone to microoft is silly
they really DON'T owe you anything beyond the crappy product. If windows update wasn't available, they'd still be making billions.
