Eye memory and visual memory are two terms for the same thing. Visual memory is recollected information about what a person has seen. It involves both the mental storage of such information and the ability to retrieve it. It can be short term, lasting only fractions of a second, or long term, lasting decades. It is separate and distinct from other types of memory, such as auditory memory. The process by which visual memory works is not fully understood.

In any event, Cravens is not being silly at all. My grandson lost most of his short term memory and could only write backwards due to a severe concussion, until he recovered. As I recall, his recovery took 6-8 weeks. There are many ways that a person can be disabled in either the short term or the long term by a concussion, depending on the severity of the concussion and the area of the brain affected.

BTW, I'm not trying to play a doctor on the internet. I googled "eye memory" for the definition and I experienced the part about my grandson.
