The only problem is, Brunell has proven that he is the right choice for the quarterback position. Holdman has yet to prove(and probably, never will prove) that he is better at weak side linebacker than LaVar.

It's only "rational" because it agrees with what the coaches have said. Not because it is the only possible explanation. Some of Whitlocks peers have claimed that Daniel Snyder
is the reason LaVar is benched. To some people, this reason could be just as rational, given his past.
