That would be reason enough for the Rams to want to pull the trigger on McVay. On a serious note, Phillips obviously is one of the premier defensive minds in the league, even as he closes in on his 70th birthday. He's not expected back in Denver with Dolphins DC Vance Joseph looking extremely likely to land the head-coach job. We'd love to see Robert Quinn and Aaron Donald under Phillips' guidance. McVay is interviewing for the Rams' job for a second time Wednesday.

Just says Wade is his top choice, as he would probably be the top choice for just about any team looking for a D coordinator. Doesn't mean LA is Wade's top choice, or that Wade isn't also Jay's top choice...
