This one basically says there is now rumored "resistance" (AKA DAN SNYDER) on giving Cousins the tag, and suggests the skins might just be content letting Kirk test Free Agency. (Translation: He's gone)

That article says nothing of the sort. In fact it says:

As for the Andrew Brandt interview I heard him discussing the same thing live on Tues morning with Ross Tucker. He basically said the team could offer him in the range of $21m or $22m per year, and he expects Kirk would probably take it. The team has all the leverage right now. Why take $24m for one year when you can have probably at least 2-3 times that in guaranteed money with a long term deal?
