now it makes sense because its the only way to get value from a player who is flat out telling you a) he's not going to sign a long term contract b) he wants a trade and basically that he'll leave next offseason and they'll get nothing.
Where is the crime in that? That's what a smart GM would do now.
IF the article is talking about before the it doesn't match the previous reports that said Scott is the one that wanted to sign Cousins to long term deal last offseason.
