This makes it look like they're really complete idiots when it comes to evaluating a player. Is he as good as Peyton? I seriously doubt it. But can he help us win a SB? I like his chances better than anyone we've had in years. If they were still doubting me after the numbers he's put up the last 2-3 years I' wouldn't want to be there either. Fix the fxxxking defense!

This is why I keep bringing up the example of Von Miller and Denver.
After his SB MVP performance, you'd think that it was a no-brainer for Denver to sign Von Miller to a long term deal. Miller was the best player at his position, had basically won Denver a Super Bowl, and he was in his prime at the time he was tagged. Yet the contract negotiations went through a lot of drama and back-and-forth between the team and Miller's agent.
I am concerned that the team is going to botch this and not make a deal. Personally, I feel that the team is being too careful in not spending money.
However, I am not surprised that the deal is not done and I don't expect the deal to get done until July. Kirk's agent or the Redskins have no reason to budge on each other's demand.
