I think what precious little we're hearing in the media is originating with Cousins's side, basically just saying there haven't been much in the way of negotiations. The lack of information out of Redskins park is leading writers to make assumptions.
Each of these articles, Keim's, the WaPo's, they all acknowledge that deadlines spur action.
I still say it gets done.
