Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.

I think Cousins and the whole Offense struggling all season is a real possibility, but I find it much more likely that they get their s together after a slow start and play to the level that they did last year. The Oline is playing uncharacteristicly bad, and Cousins was off throwing to everyone and he and Crowder and Reed will get on the same page again quickly. Pryor is less likely I suppose, but I think the chances are he improves after some time with Cousins. If we go 0-4 I'll start to buy that losing Garçon and Jackson was the difference of being a good offense or not. It certainly would be surprising to me if their contributions were greater than that of the oline and Cousins last year. Cousins did spread the ball out well, and won some games by shear will. The running game is unlikely to improve though, but I'd like to see Perine handed the ball on that 2nd and 6 in the Redzone before the INT, he scored a lot in that distance. That alone would go a long way toward fixing our biggest problem on Offense. Anyways, Cousins will most probably have similar stats to the past couple of years and play his way back into the playoff race, but this time around if he can't sustain it when the season is on the line, then yeah, let him test the market, but he's likely to get paid somewhere. But until then, I'm going to try to enjoy the ride. I think it is pretty reasonable to expect the new receivers and Cousins to struggle at first as they get used to each other, and hopefully the Offense picks up where it left off last year, the D continues to improve, and Cousins finally gets over whatever is holding him back.
