Listening to 980 on the way home from the DC area this morning the issue was explained and it wasn't on Cousins. The go for it play called for a 3 tight end set and Vernon Davis had injured his foot and was on the sidelines with his shoe off. Somehow neither Gruden or Cousins knew what was up with Davis.
