Richardson a physical talent eventually worked his way up to a #2 WR after a couple of disappointing seasons due to injury. Grant without being particularly physically gifted was beloved by coaches, worked hard day in and day out, stayed healthy, but never broke #4 WR despite a weak corps this year.
Grant maximized his production to his talent level IMO. Gruden loved this guy so I very much doubt he wasn't given opportunities when deserved, and likely will not live up to that contract.
Richardson has already out performed Grant despite his slow start, and his physical gifts give him a significantly better potential. If he stays healthy he has starter level talent, Grant does not.
It's a no brainer. You can find a Grant 100x before you find a Richardson. Mo Harris is probably capable to fill his void and he certainly will have competition in camp, I have no worries tat Gruden will find his next man crush.
