I'm curious to see how things play out with Sua. If he stayed where would he best fit? Is he too slow for slot? Does he replace ZB on passing downs? If he's committed he could definitely help this defense, but if somehow they get a 3rd for him that will definitely help. We may even be able to fill the home in the secondary.

I think Gruden’s comments on Montae Nicholson at the combine speak volumes. He called him the Jordan Reed of the defense, the guy whose range and athleticism changes what you can do schematically on defense.
I think they see him as not only their starter at FS, but a potential game changer. I think they have no plans whatsoever to pay for a starting caliber safety.
And I agree with it, personally. After the Raiders and Chiefs games last year I was on here saying he’s the best FS we’ve had since Sean. He covers ground, and it frees up DJ to attack.
The team would be wise to shore up depth. I’m not satisfied with Everett as the backup and I still assume Cravens will be dealt. But I don’t think we need a starter I think Montae is our future and so do they.
