It's just that filling a clear need with a good player gives the FO the flexibility to go with a player who plays another position in the draft. If Vita Vea and an equally rated player are both available where the Skins would like to draft them, and we have already signed Hankins, then perhaps we take the other player and get stronger as a team than we would have if we hadn't signed Hankins and felt the need to take Vea. That's how i look at it, anyway.

We share same perspective, I like the flexibility we would have if we sign Hankins. Although if we sign him to one year deal then we still would have the need to draft Dline player (Vea, Payne or whoever else).
