Alex Smith's first season with the Chiefs in 2013:
60.6% completion, 3,313 passing yards, 23 TDs, 7 INTs, 89.1 passer rating. He went 11-4 (missed a game).

Alex Smith's first season with the Redskins in 2018, projected:
63.2% completion, 3,568 passing yards, 18 TDs, 5 INTs, 91.3 passer rating

I'm just illustrating reasonable expectations when a QB joins a new offense. We need him to get better but reality is it takes time. I just know he went 11-4 in that first season as a Chief, while he was learning the ropes, and God willing it will be the same here.

Can we win a SB with Smith playing like this? No. But we knew that. Allow for the possibility he'll get better as he plays here, and draft for the possibility he won't.
