I doubt Ionnidas plays DE in a 4-3 but Smith if he is back and Kerrigan would be much better as a 4-3 DE.
It seems like Kerrigan is awkward when he has to make reads and he looks terrible in coverage.
As a 4-3 DE, he would be playing to his strengths every down.
