But worse than fan anger, is a mass wave of fan apathy.
"Jerry Jones told us this one time, 'I don't care what you say about me, just make sure you're talking about me, make sure you're talking about the Dallas Cowboys. I don't want apathy to set in,'" Shariff said.
When fans stop getting upset or angry, that is the sign they are done supporting the team, Shariff said.
