With the Redskins allowing a ridiculous amount of 3rd and long conversions and the way the Giants were marching down the field no way does a coach with anything larger than a pea brain give then a 2nd chance to keep the drive alive.

I think that is a great hindsight reaction but any team would take the penalty push a team out of field goal range. It is hard to fathom how really bad this team is on 3rd down that they could let that happen.
