Um...let's not get into the "what if" game, OK? Who cares what Irvin "would have done" if he hadn't gotten hurt? Imagine how good Irvin would have been if he could have laid of the crack pipe!

So, longevity means nothing? What about the fact that Monk won his rings over a 10 year period, whereas Irvin got them in 4 years? That suggests Irvin was consistently surrounded by talent, whereas Monk perhaps had to work harder.
